The Joys of Local News
Who says that news is always negative? I particularly enjoy local news as it makes me feel safe and snuggly in my microcosm.
This is an interesting story and typically "spun" by Fox News. The weave didn't have much to do with the victim's survival.The bullet was certainly slowed after its impact with the rear screen and probably was deflected upwards thus hitting the woman just a glancing blow on the top of the head (the skull is very strong). There are lots of unknowns such as the cartridge type and whether just a fragment of the bullet was stuck in her weave or the whole thing. Overall, wigs and the like are generally not made of kevlar and don't have bullet proof properties so don't try this at home!
